Capture Feature Requests With EMail

Evidence often arrives via email. Capturing it is as simple as forwarding the email to Product Pathfinder.

Product Pathfinder's Email Subsystem allows product managers to capture feature requests using any email client - including Blackberry, Treo, Outlook, and web-based email. This enables product managers to quickly forward requests using the one tool that is always open and available.

Often, feature requests will be gathered while visiting customers. These insights can be sent to Product Pathfinder using a Blackberry or Treo without ever having to turn on your computer or search for a wi-fi hotspot.

Indexed Searching

Feature requests usually arrive in an unstructured format - documents, spreadsheets, power points, pdfs, images, or web pages. Unstructured data is usually not searchable, but with Product Pathfinder it is.

Product Pathfinder continuously indexes not only the structured information entered into the application, but unstructured documents as well. This makes all of your information searchable. When you search for keywords, phrases, or names, Product Pathfinder will return results that may otherwise be buried on the last page of a pdf or document.

Customizable Data Entry

Product managers in different organizations often have very different information needs. Product Pathfinder is sensitive to this fact and allows each organization to customize the data elements that are captured for each type of market evidence. You can choose to include as many or as few data elements as you like.

The following types of information may be captured:

• Short Text (< 500 characters),
• Long Text (unlimited),
• Picklists,
• Radio Buttons, and
• Checkboxes.

The forms are easily customizable at any point in time to allow you to capture the information you need.

Reporting

Product Pathfinder includes context sensitive reporting throughout the application. At any time, you can run reports that include the details from one feature request or a list that you have identified using Product Pathfinder's powerful search engine. Detail and summary reports are available.

Import Existing Enhancement Requests

Existing enhancement requests can be imported into Product Pathfinder. This is designed to save you time and ease your transition.
